You have to wonder what the Labor Party really is up to when it comes to the new Maitland Hospital.
The ALP spokesperson on Health was in the Hunter recently on one of his rare trips to the region. It was the obvious opportunity to commit to matching the NSW Liberal National Government's $470million for the new hospital at Metford. It still doesn't appear on Labor's Hospital capital expenditure wish list. The spokesperson promised in 2017 to make their intentions clear in 2018. Why the games? Why continue to play politics with health and wellbeing of the lower Hunter.
Meanwhile the Berejiklian Government will continue to get on with the job of building a world class Hospital in Maitland. Why won't the local ALP representative stand up for her community?
