Road safety has been improved on Main Road and Macquarie Street at Morisset with work now complete.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald MLC said the NSW Government provided $650,000 to install 400 metres of safety barrier, widen the road shoulder and provide a painted median on Main Road and Macquarie Street.

“The work which was welcomed by the community will help prevent vehicles from veering off the road and reduce the risk of road users crossing to the other side of the road,” Mr MacDonald said.

“Roads and Maritime Services started the safety improvement work in May and completed the work on Friday.”

Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience while these important road safety improvements were carried out.
