KATE WASHINGTON MISSING FROM PARLIAMENT
12th Sep 2017

Member for Port Stephens Kate Washington MP was ejected again from Question Time in the Legislative Assembly today for 24 hours under Standing Order 249.

While the Minister for Disability Services was explaining the NDIS program, Ms Washington was initially directed by the Speaker to leave the chamber for 3 hours under Standing Order 249a, this was upgraded to 24 hours a few moments later.

Ms Washington will not be eligible to return to the Chamber until approximately 3.24pm on Wednesday 13th September, meaning she will miss tomorrow’s Question Time.

During her suspension Ms Washington is also ineligible to attend any proceeding of the House, including divisions, or its committees.

Ms Washington is a serial offender in being ejected from NSW Parliament . The interests of Port Stephens and its constituents are not being represented in Parliament.
