Work is now complete on boating infrastructure upgrades at Croudace Bay at Valentine Crescent and Thomas H Halton Park at Eleebana.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald MLC said the NSW Government provided $434,000 to install a new pontoon at Thomas H Halton Park.
“Locals and visitors now have improved access to Croudace Bay, as this new floating pontoon complements the existing boat ramp,” Mr MacDonald said.
“It will improve the safety and efficiency of launching and retrieving of boats, which will help ensure local and visiting boaties continue to make the most of the region’s natural assets.
“Work at Thomas H Halton Park started in May this year and included the installation of a pathway between the car park and the new pontoon.
“At Valentine Crescent, the existing jetty has been extended as part of a $605,811 upgrade, which the NSW Government contributed $281,675 to the project.
“The upgrades are a great example of what can be achieved by working with Lake Macquarie City Council and community organisations using funding from Boating Now,” Mr MacDonald said.
