After winning the Title of Komatsu Australia’s Top Apprentice of the Year in 2016 and NSW Training Awards Top Apprentice of the Year in Vehicle Trades in 2017, Lake Macquarie resident, Joshua Terras can now add a Parliamentary Commendation to his list of ever accruing accolades.

Liberal Upper House MP and Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Hunter moved to honour Mr Terras in the NSW Parliament on 11 October.  All MPs voted for Mr MacDonald’s motion.

This follows on from him receiving the prestigious NSW Department of Industry’s Top Apprentice in Vehicle Trades at the recent State’s Training Awards.

“Mr Terras who has studied at Kurri Kurri TAFE is an outstanding student.  His employer, Komatsu Australia have made it clear that he is an exceptional Apprentice who is conscientious and dedicated to his work” Mr MacDonald said.

“After finishing School, Mr Terras studied a Certificate III in Automative Mechanical Technology specialising in Heavy Mobile Equipment.  Last year he completed a Certificate III in Automative Electrical Technology and a further Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology”.

“His thirst for learning is to be admired and the fact he has successfully applied this at Komatsu Australia is not just a positive reflection on Mr Terras but all those who have taught him at Kurri Kurri TAFE and mentored him through his Apprenticeship” Mr MacDonald concluded.
