Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter Scot MacDonald MLC joined Service NSW CEO Damon Rees to meet the team and officially open the new Raymond Terrace Service Centre.
“Service NSW brings together the most common types of government services, including Roads and Maritime Services, Fair Trading and Births, Deaths and Marriages under one roof” Mr MacDonald said.
“Customers no longer have to travel to different government offices or agencies to complete transactions, now you can visit a Service NSW one-stop and complete all those different transactions in the one visit.”
“Vehicle, builder and tradespeople licenses and checks, rental bonds and passports are all examples of government services that Service NSW can assist with.”
Since opening in August last year the staff of 16 at Raymond Terrace Service Centre have served over 74,000 customers with an average customer visit taking on average less than 10 minutes.
“I congratulate the great work that Service Centre Manager Sue Horsfall and the team have done,” Mr MacDonald said.
Mr Rees said that Service NSW was continuing to introduce new services and technology to make it easier for customers.
“More customers are choosing to transact online either at home or on the go, and to meet this demand we are continuing to make more services available digitally,” Mr Rees said.
“Many customers can now complete their registration and licence renewals online, 24-hours seven days per week. Already around 90 percent of customers renew their vehicle registration online, saving time.”
The Raymond Terrace Service Centre is located at Unit 1, 1 Jacaranda Avenue, Raymond Terrace and is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
