Little Creek Cheese from Wyong has been selected by the NSW Liberal National Government to attend the Southern Hemisphere's largest food industry trade event, Fine Food Australia in Melbourne in September, to promote NSW produce to the world.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Scot MacDonald MLC said Little Creek Cheese has been chosen as one of only 12 food and beverage companies from across the state.
“Selection for the NSW Government stand is a major feather in the cap for this outstanding local producer and for our regional food and beverage industry,” Mr MacDonald said.
“Little Creek Cheese’s haloumi cheese previously won gold three years in a row at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and its Garlic and Dill marinated Goat Feta won gold and reserve champion at the Royal Hobart Show.
“Fine Food Australia attracts 1,000 plus exhibitors from over 60 countries as well as more than 20,000 visitors so this will be a unique chance to promote our produce to potential domestic and international markets.
“As well as helping to grow sales, attendance at Fine Food Australia enables producers to network with industry leaders on the latest trends and consumer preferences to stay ahead of the game.”
Minster for Trade and Industry, Niall Blair said the NSW Government’s “Flavours of NSW” stand will feature a stunning showcase of the best food companies from across the state.
“NSW has over 50,000 agricultural, aquaculture, fishing and food and beverage processing companies that contribute to a food and agriculture export industry worth more than $7 billion a year,” Mr Blair said.
“We’ve focused on getting a diverse and innovative selection of companies on our stand that can showcase both the quality and uniqueness of our industry, so congratulations to Little Creek Cheese on being among the selected few.”
