Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Scot MacDonald MLC today joined representatives from the Central Coast Local Health District and Central Coast Councillor Jilly Pilon to announce a $25,000 grant from the NSW Liberal National Government for remediation works to the Palliative Care Building at Long Jetty Healthcare Facility.
The funding will go towards internal refurbishment of the Palliative Care Unit, including replacement of the carpet and fresh paint.
Mr MacDonald thanked the Minister for Health the Hon. Brad Hazzard MP for taking a personal interest in the request from the Central Coast Local Health District.
“Following correspondence from the Health District I made representations to the Health Minister, who approved the funding for the works.”
“This funding ensures that the exceptional Health staff and nurses have a clean, safe and modern working environment.”
“These funds are welcomed from the State Government, enabling necessary remediation works to take place in the Palliative Care Unit at Long Jetty. The improvements give staff a better working environment and assist quality of life for both patients and their families,” Ms Pilon said.
