Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Scot MacDonald has welcomed the recent announcement by Minister for the Arts Don Harwin of $188,429 in funding for Central Coast Council under the 2016/17 Public Libraries Infrastructure Grant program.
Mr MacDonald said the grant is part of $4 million worth of funding for 31 public library projects across NSW.
“The funding will go towards supporting a wide range of projects, from refurbishment to special exhibitions, as is the case in Woy Woy”.
Central Coast Council has pledged to spend $188,429 towards a Spike Milligan Exhibition Space at Woy Woy Library.
NSW Minister for the Arts Hon. Don Harwin welcomed the funding boost for NSW public libraries.
“The Berejiklian Government is proud to be supporting public libraries and the important work they do in our communities through these grants. This funding allocation brings NSW Government support for public libraries in 2016/17 to almost $32.5 million,” Mr Harwin said.
The Public Library Infrastructure Grants program is administered by the State Library of NSW on behalf of the Library Council of NSW.
